
What Is A Portrait Party?
- As a hostess of a portrait party, you invite your friends and family members to your home or our studio for a professional portrait session. We will photograph "mini" sessions with each guest, (head & shoulder shots) with no session fee or minimum order.
- We will provide the hostess with invitations, and information sheets. The hostess can earn as much as 15% credit of the total sales, to be used on portraits of their children, or their spouse that were also taken that day.
- (The favorite family pet can be photographed also)
How Does It Work?
- A minimum of 10 sessions is requested for each party. (Including the hostess) which earns the max 15% commission
(6-9 Sessions-10% commission, Less then 6 sessions-5% commission).
- Each session is 15 to 20 minutes long. The sessions are set up by the hostess, prior to the party date.
- All sessions must be booked, back to back. The invited guests must contact the hostess, to schedule their session times.
- The invited guests should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled session, or can come and stay for the entire party.
- During each session the guests will receive an information sheet that explains the ordering process, copyright information, a model
release, and information on where to view their children's images.
***The model release is not mandatory but nice so I can advertise some wonderful kids faces***
***ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO ATTEND THE PARTY!***
HOW DO YOU ORDER YOUR PORTRAITS?
- All images will be posted on our website for viewing and purchasing within 72 hours of the party. (unless otherwise detailed)
- Portraits must be ordered and paid in full within 2* weeks from the date the images are available online.
- Discounted pricing is offered for the party and for the first week after the images are posted. See below for discount amounts. –
- Orders not received during the first week will be charged normal pricing..
- All major credit cards are accepted by the online service. (PayPal) If you wish to pay by check (mailing or dropping off), it is
the guests responsibility to get the check to us before the ordering deadline. All late orders or subsequent orders will not go toward
the commission for the hostess. In about 2 to 3 weeks, from the date the orders are received by the studio, the portraits will be
delivered to the hostess.
* Only the first two weeks applies to giving credit to your hostess, so don’t delay putting your orders in
Schedule benefit to ordering early!!!
- If the order is placed in the first 7 days from the emails going out notifying customers of availability to online access, customers will receive 15% off all orders totaling $50 or more.
- During the 2nd week (7-14 days since email went out) each order will be at the normal price.
*If you wish to pay to have me extend the duration that the site is up on my website, a one time fee $45 (30 days) will be charged to you.
Host or Hostess Responsibilities
1. Send invitations.
2. Send the guest listing to the photographer, 1 week prior to the party.
3. Be present during the entire party.
4. Supply simple refreshments to your guests.
5. Remind your guests throughout the party and ordering period to place their orders ONLINE within the time limit so that you will receive your commissions.
6. Try to sign up your guests, to have their own portrait party, so you will receive your $25 credit per party.
7. Pick up and deliver to the guests, all completed orders when ready.
