Well the fall foliage season is fast fading behind us and my moderation on Yankee magazine is
slowing also. Even on the Facebook fan page for Yankee Foliage we’re only seeing one or two new fans in a week. We have topped out at 760 fans who stopped in to chat about fall colors or post their pictures of what they found.
If you have fall pictures from New England then be sure to stop in and post a few of yours. No one is judging the quality of the pictures, we just like seeing and hearing about your experience in New England.
The call came in on the 30th at 8:30 in the morning asking if I could do a quick portrait of four kids between the ages of 2 & 3! Boy do I love a challenge! So I had another cup of coffee and gathered my gear up and headed over to Salem Common to meet the two sisters and their four kids.
The one sister needed a shot for her husband in Iraq and was getting on a plane
that afternoon. From the time I got there to the time I left, one 2 yr old was screaming/crying and one was all full of smiles, The other two were non-committal but were generally ok with getting their pictures taken.
The hour ended as we were standing on the gazebo on the Common and as I was getting ready to wrap up my equipment the mothers noticed that the boys had stepped over to the railing and being 3 yr old boys had dropped their pants and were peeing through the railing to water to grass below… The mothers quickly asked me to snap a few pictures 
and I did with the provision that after they received the pictures these shots would be deleted from my system.
They didn’t ask for this but I wanted them to know that I couldn’t keep those on my computer, no matter how cute they were… (And yes they do give me a chuckle when I think of it.
I mean what do 3 yr olds care about what others think at that age… 
Maybe in some ways (not peeing in public) but just in general, not minding what others think so much could be a good thing…
